If you've felt as if someone is sending you subtle nudges you can't quite explain, the archangels may be trying to communicate with you. They typically work through signs, synchronicities, dreams, and energetic attraction rather than verbal communication. Their language is symbolic, gentle, and meant for you to pause and notice. Each archangel is often associated with a distinct energetic frequency which can influence how their signs feel or appear.
In Kyle Gray's book, Angels Are With You Now, he offers some advice on connecting with the angelic realm.

"Angels are messengers. They can send their messages to us in many ways, including through other people. We can get closer to them by trying to be like them, holding the light...They protect us and guide us through the challenges of our lives...It's really powerful to imagine yourself the way angels see you, with grace and light."
Below is a guide to some of the most common ways these connections may be showing up for you. These signs may reveal themselves through dreams, everyday conversations, moments in nature, repeating numbers, or unexpected synchronicities woven into everyday life. Everyone experiences these messages in their own unique way, so there are no fixed rules on how guidance appears.

Protection, Courage & Boundaries
Signs: sudden feelings of safety, a sense of being "shielded", repeated imagery of swords or blue lights, being helped or assisted by a complete "stranger", being guided away from something (especially when driving), appearance of lions or dragons, repeating numbers 1, 11, 111, 11:11

Recently, we sat down with Colleen of The Energetic Connection, a skilled Spiritual Healer with advanced training in Shamanic Healing, Pranic Alignment, and Reiki, here at Angelic Roots. Colleen shares her journey and her unique perspective on shamanic healing, and how these practices can support transformation, energetic balance, and a more meaningful connection to self.
Tell us about your journey, what experiences shaped your path, and what first sparked your interest in energy work.
In 2019, my father-in-law passed away suddenly. The shock of his loss, combined with the growing awareness that my own father was slowly slipping away to Alzheimer’s, sent me into a deep spiral of grief. I found myself mourning them both at once and feeling completely unequipped to navigate that pain alone.
During this difficult time, I was introduced to Reiki, and my first sessions were profoundly moving. The practitioner I worked with suggested I visit Angelic Roots to purchase a specific crystal. At that point, I had no plans to pursue Reiki training—but then my mother surprised me by sharing that she had recently completed Reiki I and encouraged me to do the same. After a few months, I decided to sign up for the class at Angelic Roots.

From the moment I took Reiki I, I felt an immediate connection to the energy. I loved how it felt in my life and began exploring creative ways to use it for healing and growth. As I practiced more, my senses sharpened, and I became deeply attuned to subtle energies around me. It was mind-blowing to realize there was an entire world of spirit and insight that I had never known existed.
As this journey continues to unfold, my intention is to fully embody the essence of my being while stepping into my soul purpose. I view myself as a facilitator for spirit, supporting healing that is ready to manifest in the physical realm, and serve as a conduit, anchoring healing energies into the Earth supporting her ascension, through gridwork.

How would you describe a session to someone completely new to these modalities?
A Shamanic Healing Session with me weaves together all the knowledge and modalities I’ve integrated along my path so far. The session begins with a consultation, where we explore what challenges, emotions, or heaviness are present for the client. Often, I notice that once someone commits to a session, their system has already begun preparing—gently bringing forward the energy that’s ready to be released.

During the consultation, I invite the client to choose one of my khuya (sacred healing stones) from my mesa (medicine bundle). While they may appear simple, these stones have undergone an alchemical process that allows them to act as powerful energetic magnets, drawing out dense or stagnant energy throughout the session. The client holds the khuya as we talk, allowing it to attune to their energy. When we transition into the healing portion, I guide the client to blow the emotions they’re experiencing into the stone, further activating its clearing properties. Once they’re settled comfortably on the table, I open the four directions—along with above and below—inviting in spirit and our support teams to assist in the work.
During the consultation, I typically begin receiving intuitive guidance about the direction of the session. I’m shown where to start and which tools to use to address the most important layers—whether that involves journeying to an original wound, facilitating ancestral clearing, or supporting a power retrieval. At times, while working on the physical body, I may be guided to bring the client’s spirit into the angelic realm of the upper world for healing. Each session is intuitively led, so the exact path unfolds organically as we move through it.
Reiki energy is always part of the process, supporting the release of what no longer serves the client and replenishing their system with light before your aura is sealed at the end. As a channel, I receive insights throughout the session, and if the client is open to it, I share what comes through, as it may help guide the experience. Sessions may also include light language, depending on the client’s comfort and openness.

What does soul retrieval and soul contract releasing mean in your practice?
During a session, I’m guided by spirit when a soul fragment is ready to return. Many people carry some degree of soul loss—whether from this lifetime or another—often as a result of trauma or experiences that have gradually worn away at the self. Before a fragment can be restored, though, there must be enough healing in place to support its integration. If retrieval happens too soon, the fragment won’t fully anchor or remain.
When spirit indicates that it’s time, I ask permission to journey to the Chamber of Grace in the lower world to retrieve the soul fragment. There, it reveals itself to me in symbolic form—often as an object. I bring this back and return it to the client’s energetic body, guided to the return it to where it belongs, commonly within the crown, heart, or solar plexus chakras, though this varies for each individual. Afterward, I may use light language to help recalibrate the client’s system and support smooth integration. If I sense resistance, I’ll invite the client to set a clear intention to welcome the fragment home. While a person may have multiple soul fragments to reclaim, I focus on one per session to allow for proper healing and integration.
During the consultation—or sometimes within the session itself—I may also become aware of a soul contract that’s ready to be explored. This awareness can come through what the client’s share, direct guidance from spirit, or through a journey to the Chamber of Wounds, where the root of an issue is revealed. Lately, I’ve also witnessed ancestral contracts surfacing, with clients clearing patterns that extend across their entire lineage.
To work with a contract, I journey to the Chamber of Soul Contracts in the lower world. Inside, the contract appears in a symbolic form—often resembling a scroll, though not always. Once, I encountered a contract that appeared as just two sentences on half a page, which revealed itself as an addendum to the soul contract. After reading the contract, I share its contents with the client so they can consciously choose whether they’re ready to release it. Most clients feel ready, though sometimes there’s a sense that more learning or experience is needed, or that the contract itself holds supportive or positive energy that was read simply to bring awareness and additional insight.
If the client chooses to release the contract, the method of clearing is guided intuitively. Often, I place it into the violet flame, but at times the process reveals something more specific—such as tearing it piece by piece or casting it into a fire where it dissolves intensely. The way a contract releases can offer additional insight, and I’ve noticed that ancestral contracts tend to take longer to fully dissolve than those tied to a single lifetime.
Light language may be a part of your sessions. Can you share how this comes through and what it offers to the overall experience?
Light language is a spoken transmission of light and energetic codes—unique patterns, sacred geometry, and symbolic frequencies that carry healing energy. These codes are received through my heart center and transmitted through my throat chakra, communicating directly with the soul, subconscious, and energetic body.
As light language flows, these frequencies are transmitted into the receiver’s field, where they can help clear energetic blockages, bring the chakras into alignment, and support recalibration and integration. They may also activate dormant aspects of the self—awakening inner gifts, stimulating the pineal gland, and opening access to deeper wisdom that supports spiritual growth and expansion.

Is there an animal, guide, or spiritual symbol that resonates with you and helps guide the energy or intention of your sessions?
My power animal is an owl, graceful and wise, offering guidance, higher perspective, and a strong sense of protection. I also work closely with a panther, whose energy supports me in tracking issues back to their root and sensing areas of density or heaviness within the field. I feel a deep connection to aquatic beings, especially whales and dolphins, whose sound-based transmissions carry profound healing qualities. Dolphin energy invites in playfulness and reconnects me with my inner child, while whale energy holds a deeply nurturing, loving presence.
What kind of shifts do you most often witness in the people you've worked with?
It’s been a true honor to witness my client’s step into their own power, connecting with their inner knowing and learning to trust their intuition. I began to notice a pattern of clients being identified by spirit as healers, whether they were consciously aware of it or not. Recently I was shown that part of my purpose is to support and heal those who are here to help others, the specific message from spirit was, “help heal the healers.” That realization helped me understand why I naturally emphasize sharing tools in my sessions and events—guiding individuals to recognize that, alongside their spiritual support team, they are their own most powerful healer.

What advice would you give to someone who feels a pull toward this path?
Above all, trust your intuition. Seek out a teacher or spiritual community that feels uplifting, positive, and genuinely supportive. One of the most beautiful aspects of spiritual work is being in spaces where each person’s unique gifts are honored and encouraged. As more people awaken, it’s important to remember that you don’t have to walk this path alone. There are many kind, open-hearted individuals ready to support, heal, and walk alongside you on your journey of growth and expansion.
How do you maintain and care for your own energy, and what are your favorite tools or practices for staying balanced and grounded?
I maintain daily practices to support the flow of prana, quiet my mind, and keep my chakras clear, balanced, and aligned. My routine includes meditation, breathwork, mudras, and Reiki. One specific technique I use for daily chakra clearing involves moving my hand in a circular motion over each chakra—first counterclockwise on the body to release stagnant energy “right release”, then clockwise to infuse each chakra with light “left light”. I then call in a beam of golden white light to fill my entire being and set the intention that my chakras are clear, balanced and fully aligned. This simple, quick practice can be done daily, and performing it in the shower allows the water to further enhance the cleansing process. Another part of this routine includes regularly scanning my energetic field for cords, tears, distortions, crystallized energy, or any other imbalances that may need attention.

I also enjoy taking a cleansing baths with salts, essential oils, and crystals, which help refresh and clear my energy. For grounding, I regularly connect my Earth Star Chakra to the core of the Earth. I spend time in nature whenever the weather allows, in the summer often gardening barefoot and meditating in my backyard in the evenings. I also make it a priority to receive support from trusted and skilled practitioners. While I’m committed to maintaining my own energy, allowing others to hold space for me is an important and nourishing part of my self-care practice.
We’re so grateful to Colleen for opening up and sharing her journey with us! If you feel drawn to her work or are curious about experiencing these modalities for yourself, we invite you to explore Colleen's offerings here at Angelic Roots.

The month of May arrives with a gentle nudge for heart-centered connections. This energy is a reminder that beneath all of our differences, we are deeply interconnected. Old patterns of judgment, comparison, and separation are being illuminated to offer a new choice and direction. This gives us an opportunity to reflect before reacting, listen more deeply, and see others through a lens of understanding rather than defense. We pulled a card from Rebecca Campbell's The Rose Oracle card deck for inspiration and clarification on what lies ahead this month.

The Mother Rose
Returning to each other. Compassion. Humanity.
"We're living in a time of great division, learning, and unlearning. We're together mending the thread of humanity...To realize that it's possible for two people to have a different experience at the same time and that both can be true. Mother Rose longs for humanity to drop our defenses and reach out to each other with deep honesty and compassion...How can you soften and express your truth without being defensive? How can you open yourself up to the possibility that two truths can exist at once?"

Mother Rose reminds us to awaken the heart space, soften judgment, and offer forgiveness. Compassion is a powerful tool for healing. When you choose to respond with Love, even in the small ways, you contribute to the restoration of collective harmony. This month asks us to deepen our connection and reconnect with the Divine Feminine within all of us.
As you ponder this card, reflect on the following questions.
"Where might I be holding onto judgment that is ready to be released?"
"How can I create more space for listening rather than reacting?"
"What does it look like for me to lead with Love in challenging situations?"
"What am I ready to soften or forgive to create more space in my heart?"

Working with energetically aligned crystals and tools can be a source of support as you navigate throughout the month. Whether carried, used in meditation, or placed in your sacred space, they help to amplify your intentions.
Heart-centered crystals such as Rose Quartz, Rhodochrosite, Pink Opal, Green Flower Agate, and Blue Aragonite can align your Heart Chakra and offer space for compassion and forgiveness to flow with ease and grace.
Heart-shaped crystals carry a unique energetic signature of emotional reset, connection, and inner harmony. Place them in your sacred space, hold during meditation, or add them to your home altar to honor a loved one.
Heart-centered meditation. The Heart Chakra resonates with the musical note F. Play a heart-centered binaural beat track tuned to the note F or 639 Hz while sitting in meditation. Place both of your hands over your heart space, allowing the sound to soften emotional tension and open the space for connection and compassion.
The sacred flower Rose is a symbol and vessel of the Divine Feminine and consciousness. Incorporate fresh flowers in your space or garden, hold a Rose during meditation, infuse your skin or inhale the scent of Rose, or soak in a salt bath with dried rose petals to create a nurturing environment and deepen your connection to her ancient wisdom.
Across all cultures there are many goddesses that embody the spirit of the Mother Rose. If you find yourself drawn to a particular one, you are connecting and remembering a shared, ancient energy that flows across the Earth. Tune into those energies to embody a more compassionate way of being and to honor the greater whole.

"Through Love, I help to restore harmony within and around me."

Each number carries its own unique vibration and wisdom. Number 5 is the number of freedom, curiosity, and transformation. Its adventurous nature gently nudges us out of stagnation and into personal growth. It thrives in motion, inviting us to embrace change and unpredictability and trust the journey as it unfolds. Number 5 is deeply connected to our human experience such as our five senses and our desire and need to explore and evolve.

How to Work with Number 5
The vibration of 5 appears when we are being guided to notice opportunities for growth, such as travel, a deeper dive into dreams and goals, and personal reinvention. When it appears repeatedly (time, dates, numbers on receipts, dreams, etc) it is signaling that transformation is on the horizon or a reminder that your spiritual path is in need of expansion. When you work with this number in intention setting, planning, or by noticing its patterns in your life, its frequency encourages us to explore both our outer world and inner self.

Throat Chakra The number 5 strongly aligns with this chakra and when this number shows up, it is a reminder to speak authentically and live in alignment with our truth.
Crystals Certain crystals resonate with personal transformation and expansion. Our favorites are Flower Agate, Malachite, Elestial Quartz, Aragonite Star Clusters, Quartz Citrine Star Clusters. and Crystal star carvings also serve as a reminder to follow your path and stay connected to your goals.
Five Senses: We use our five senses on a daily basis but tuning into their unique and higher vibrations can enhance your connection with them. Exploring aromatherapy with essential oils, sound vibration instruments, eating whole foods, and spending time in nature deeper your relationship with self.
Frequency Reset: Shake up your routine with small changes. Sometimes doing things differently or from another perspective can shift your energy out of repetitive cycles and into alignment with your deeper truth. Changing your morning routine, doing small tasks with your non-dominant hand, or replacing time scrolling with silence or breathwork can bring more mindfulness into your day.
Star This shape is symbolic of stepping onto the path of deeper awareness and transformation. Use the five pointed star intentionally in meditation, journaling, or art work.
Crystal Grids Write the Number 5 on a piece of paper and place under the center point of a crystal grid to create the foundation for your intentions. Form the grid in the shape of a five pointed star to elevate the frequency.
The sacred number 5 reminds us that life is meant to be experienced and explored. When we embrace the vibration of this number, we lead with natural curiosity, live boldly, and allow ourselves to evolve without resistance!

Named after the Hindu deity Shiva, Shiva stones are a sacred crystal shape that represent the Brahmanda, or cosmic egg—the origin of all creation—and the union of divine masculine and feminine energies within nature. Their smooth, oval formation symbolizes wholeness, balance, and the interconnectedness of all life.
This unique shape is believed to help harmonize the feminine and masculine energies within the body, supporting a sense of grounding while also encouraging energetic flow. As these energies come into balance, Shiva stones can assist in gently awakening and raising Kundalini energy, the life force that moves through the body.
Shiva stones are closely connected to the Sacral Chakra, the center of creativity, emotion, and sensuality. Working with this shape can inspire creativity, deepen emotional awareness, and enhance your connection to pleasure and self-expression. Their energy is both grounding and activating, supporting overall well-being on physical, emotional, and energetic levels.

Creation & Transformation
Shiva stones embody the eternal cycle of birth, death, and rebirth. Just as the universe is constantly evolving, they remind us that transformation is a natural and necessary part of life.
They are especially supportive during times of transition—whether you are beginning a new path, releasing old patterns, or stepping into a new version of yourself. Working with Shiva stones can help you move through change with greater ease, trust, and acceptance, allowing space for new growth to emerge.

Divine Union
The oval shape of Shiva stones represents the harmony between polarities—yin and yang, action and receptivity, grounding and expansion.
They encourage balance within, helping you integrate both the Divine Feminine and Sacred Masculine aspects of your being. This creates a sense of inner alignment, where intuition and action can work together rather than in opposition.
Kundalini Energy Activation
Kundalini is the life force energy believed to rise through the chakras, supporting spiritual growth, awareness, and transformation.
Meditating with Shiva stones can help gently stimulate this energy, encouraging a deeper connection to your inner self and a greater sense of vitality. Their shape naturally supports the upward flow of energy, making them a powerful companion for meditation and spiritual practice.

Sacral Chakra
The Sacral Chakra, located in the lower abdomen, is associated with creativity, pleasure, emotional expression, and connection to others.
When this energy center is balanced, it supports inspiration, healthy relationships, and a deeper sense of joy and fulfillment. To work with this energy, you can place a Shiva stone on the lower abdomen while lying down, allowing its energy to support alignment and flow within the Sacral Chakra.
Shiva stones remind us that transformation is not something to fear, but something to honor. They encourage us to trust the natural cycles of life, embrace change, and return to a state of balance and authenticity. Through this sacred form, we are invited to reconnect with ourselves and the ever-evolving nature of our journey.

The Nazar, commonly referred to as the evil eye, isn’t actually “evil” at all. It is one of the oldest and most widely recognized symbols of protection, used for thousands of years across many cultures around the world.

The concept of the evil eye dates back to ancient Mesopotamia and has appeared throughout history in regions such as Greece, Rome, the Middle East, and parts of North Africa. While the name may sound ominous, the Nazar was created as a protective response to a long-held belief that energy, especially energy rooted in jealousy or envy, can affect others in subtle but meaningful ways.
Across these cultures, people developed symbols, rituals, and protective amulets to guard against this influence. Over time, the Nazar became one of the most widely used forms of spiritual protection, often worn as jewelry or placed in homes, vehicles, and workspaces.

Energy is powerful, and often more influential than we realize. The evil eye protects against dense or low lying energy that may come from jealousy, ill intentions, projections, or even unconscious thoughts from others.

It is important to understand that this energy is not always intentional. Someone does not have to wish harm for their energy to feel heavy, overwhelming, or disruptive. Moments of judgment, stress, or envy can create subtle energetic shifts that may impact those around us.
The Nazar serves as a gentle form of protection, helping you stay grounded in your own energy without absorbing what does not belong to you. Rather than creating fear, it offers a sense of stability and awareness, allowing you to move through your day with greater clarity and ease.
The Nazar is often described as working like a mirror. Instead of absorbing energy, it reflects unwanted or imbalanced energy away from you, helping to maintain a sense of energetic balance.

Because of its eye-like design, it is sometimes referred to as a “never-blinking guardian,” always watching and deflecting what does not belong in your space. This symbolism reinforces the idea of constant protection, something that quietly supports you without requiring effort or attention.
For many, the power of the Nazar also lies in intention. Wearing or keeping an evil eye symbol nearby serves as a reminder to remain centered, aware, and connected to your own energy. It encourages you to observe what you take in, what you release, and how you move through different environments.
The deep blue color of the Nazar is not just aesthetic, it carries symbolic meaning that has been passed down through generations.

In many traditions, blue is associated with the sky and water, both of which represent protection, vastness, and a connection to something greater. Blue is also linked to calmness, clarity, and truth, making it an ideal color for a symbol designed to neutralize heavy or intense energy.
It is often believed that blue helps to cool and balance the “heat” of strong emotions such as envy or frustration. In this way, the Nazar does not just protect, it also restores a sense of peace and equilibrium.
Traditionally, Nazar amulets are made of glass. Over time, these pieces may crack or break, which is often interpreted as a sign that the amulet has absorbed or deflected dense energy and fulfilled its purpose. Rather than being seen as damage, it is viewed as a form of completion.
Despite its name, the evil eye is not about fear or expecting negativity. It is about awareness, intention, and maintaining your own energetic boundaries.

It serves as a reminder that while we cannot always control the energy around us, we can choose how we interact with it. By incorporating symbols like the Nazar into your daily life, you create a sense of grounding and protection that supports your overall well-being.
Not everything is negative energy, but protection helps you stay grounded in your own. The Nazar offers a simple way to stay aligned, especially in moments when life feels overwhelming, busy, or uncertain.
The Nazar can be worn as jewelry, placed in your home, kept in your car, or carried with you throughout the day. No matter how you choose to use it, the intention remains the same - to support your energy and help you stay centered.
Many people feel drawn to the evil eye during times of transition, growth, or heightened visibility, when maintaining energetic balance becomes especially important. Others simply appreciate it as a meaningful reminder to move through life with intention and awareness.
If you feel drawn to the Nazar, trust that instinct. Often, the pieces we are most attracted to are the ones that resonate with where we are in our journey. If you are looking to find your own evil eye guardian, explore our collection of bracelets, necklaces, rings, pouches, and evil eye hangers!

Golden Healer's golden inclusions radiate a glow of energy that many find restorative and healing for the body, mind, and spirit. It is often associated with amplifying divine connection, inner harmony, and the embodiment of higher consciousness. Because of its amplifying nature, it is ideal for setting intentions around personal growth, clarity, and overall emotional balancing.

Golden Healer resonates with the Solar Plexus Chakra to enhance confidence, personal power, and inner strength. As it helps you step into your truth, it aligns your chakras with warmth and clarity. This makes it a powerful tool for energy work, such as Reiki, chakra balancing, and aura cleansing.

Golden Healer carries a frequency that mirrors the radiant and deeply restorative energy of the Sun. Earth Day offers an opportunity to pause, reconnect, and give back energetically to Mother Earth. We honor this day by creating a crystal grid dedicated to her. This sacred offering anchors our intentions for healing, balance, and gratitude into the physical and energetic realms. Follow along with us as we build a grid.
Setting Your Intentions
Begin your crystal grid with an intention. Reflect on what Mother Earth needs most in this moment, how you can offer energy to support healing and harmony, and what role you can play in nurturing the Earth. Here are some examples of intentions.
"I send grounding, restorative energy into Mother Earth."
"May all the waters, land, and living beings be protected and nourished."
" I send Reiki energy into Earth, supporting healing and renewal."
"I send loving energy to all living beings, honoring their role on this planet."
"With deep gratitude, I return healing energy to Mother Earth."
"May humanity awaken to a deeper respect, compassion, and awareness to care for Mother Earth."

Choosing Crystals
Select crystals that resonate with Earth's energy and support grounding. Some of our favorites are Ammonite, Picture Jasper, Petrified Wood, Desert Rose Selenite, Moss Agate, and Mexican Crazy Lace Agate.
Choose one stone as your centerpiece. This center crystal grounds the grid and amplifies the intentions and is typically a point. For Earth Day, you might consider a sphere for its shape and its ability to radiate energy in all directions.
You will need a wand to activate the grid. This can be a crystal wand, a wood stick, or even your finger.
Natural Elements
Add meaningful elements from nature to deepen the connection. Additions such as feathers, leaves, flowers, herbs, seashells, pinecones, dirt/sand, or even a bowl of spring water can help bridge your energetic offering.

Caring for Your Grid
There is no set length of time to keep your grid. You can build it just for Earth Day or leave it up to allow the energy to build and integrate. You will need to reactivate the grid if it's disturbed. Just follow the above directions to reactivate. When you're ready to dismantle the grid, take a moment to reflect and offer gratitude to Mother Earth, cleanse your crystals, if desired, and return the natural elements back to earth.
Creating a crystal grid for Earth Day is a moment of reciprocity. As you offer your intentions to Mother Earth, may you find yourself feeling more grounded, connected, and aligned with her quiet wisdom!

Creating a healthy and supportive sleep practice involves more than simply getting enough rest. It plays an important role in our energy as well as our mental, emotional, and spiritual well being. When approached intentionally, sleep can become a sacred space for restoration, insight, and spiritual connection. Here are our favorite tips for grounding and energetic practices that can be weaved into your evening routine.

Natural Rhythms Going to bed and waking up at similar times, limiting electronic exposure in the evening, and creating a calming environment signal to your body that it's safe to unwind.
Sleep Space Create an environment that feels calm, safe, and uncluttered. Reduce noise, use soft or minimal lighting, or choose bedding that is comfortable and supportive to your body. If possible, leave your electronics, including your phone, in a different room.

Salt Baths Ease into your night time routine with a warm, salt bath. Epsom salts and sea salts help you to release the day, both physically and energetically. Salts support muscle and energetic relaxation. Adding calming and releasing essential oils, such as Lavender or Palmarosa, make it more effective. If you don't have access to a bathtub, even a foot soak will help.
Aromatherapy Essential oils have natural soothing and calming properties. Our favorites to unwind are Lavender, Cedarwood, Ho Wood, Vetiver, and Bergamot. Diffuse 3-5 drops or mix with your favorite carrier oil and massage into the bottom of your feet for restful sleep. Avoid citrus and Eucalyptus essential oils as they can be stimulating. See our blog "6 Best Essential Oils for Sleep and Relaxation" for more helpful tips.
Relaxation Poses & Stretching Yoga Restorative yoga poses or gentle stretching before bed can calm an overstimulated nervous system and prepare your body for rest.

Journaling If you tend to ruminate about your day as soon as you go to bed, writing in a journal can help you process lingering thoughts, create a sense of closure, and allow your mind to settle.
Calling Back Your Energy As we move through the day, our energy is scattered through interactions, stress, and daily responsibilities. Calling back your energy before sleep can help you feel whole and grounded. Lying in bed with your eyes closed, set the intention to call back your energy using a simple statement such as, "I call back all of my energy..." You can add "from" and list people and places your energy was invested during the day such as work, stores, public transportation, school, large gatherings, television, electronics, social media, and AI.
Sound Background music can guide your body into deeper states of relaxation. Soft and gentle tones from sound vibrational instruments helps to dissolve inner noise and relax the body. Choose music and binaural beats that are 111Hz, 432Hz, Delta frequency (1-4Hz) for relaxation and Theta frequency (4-8Hz) for REM sleep. Apps such as Insight Timer or white noise machines can be played during the night.

Crystals Our favorite crystals to reduce stress and support sleep are Lepidolite, Selenite, Moonstone, Rose Quartz, and Howlite. Keep a crystal in your pillow, under your mattress, or on your nightstand. You can also grid your bedroom by placing supportive crystals in the four corners of your room or under your bed.
Moon Bathing The energy of the Full Moon offers a powerful opportunity to release, reflect, and reset before sleep. Spend time outside under the light of the full moon to reconnect with yourself and nature. Reflect on what you are ready to release and set a simple intention: "I release what no longer supports my inner peace and welcome in calm and clarity." Create moon water by filling a jar of spring water and placing it outdoors where it can absorb the moonlight. Set an intention for what you'd like the water to hold. Use this water in a warm bath before bedtime along with epsom salt, rose petals, or chamomile flowers to soothe and invite in gentle emotional release.
Dream Time Sleep can also be an opportunity to deepen your intuition and inner guidance and sometimes those messages come through in dreams. Keeping a dream journal can be beneficial. Record your dreams when you first awake, including any feelings, emotions, or knowings. Sometimes they do not make sense in the moment but over time you may find patterns emerging. Crystals such as Amethyst, Super 7, Window Fenster Skeletal Quartz, or a moon crystal carving can support dream work.
Sleep is so important to our overall well being. When you approach it with care and intention, it becomes a space for renewal, insight, and deep connection!
