April 02, 2026
The month of April arrives filled with shifting cosmic activity from the upcoming Lyrid meteor shower and a gentle reminder to be more intentional with your energy. Early springtime is an invitation for fresh beginnings, nourishment, and renewed hope. As this energy begins to expand, allow insight and inspiration to naturally guide and move you forward with focus and purpose. We pulled a card from Steven D Farmer's Messages From Your Animal Spirit Guides oracle card deck for inspiration and clarification on what lies ahead this month.

Panda
Create a sacred space for yourself in your home and/or place of work
"A sacred space is an area in your home or workplace where you can have some privacy for contemplation, meditation, or simply a bit of quiet time to think...It's a place for solace, one where you can more closely listen to your inner voice and feeling, and tap into the Life Force inside that's expressing itself as you."
The Panda's message is asking us to slow down and create space for what matters. When we intentionally carve out quiet, sacred environments (physically and energetically) we give our intuition, creativity, and spiritual guidance room to unfold. This month is asking for quiet insight and meaningful alignment.
As you ponder this card, reflect on the following questions.

"Where in my life do I feel energetically "cluttered", and what boundaries or adjustments could help restore balance?"
"What would a sacred space in my home or work environment look and feel like for me right now?"
"How can I create more moments of stillness in my day so guidance, inspiration and clarity have room to appear?"
"What tools help me return to my center when the day begins to feel scattered and I feel overwhelmed?"
Working with energetically aligned crystals and tools can be a source of support as you navigate throughout the month. Whether carried, used in meditation, or placed in your sacred space, they help to amplify your intentions.

Selenite energetically cleanses your space and energetic field. Place selenite sticks or tumbles above door jams and windows for an uplifting flow of energy, use a selenite tealight candle holder to illuminate and purify your space, or sweep a selenite wand around your body to remove dense and stagnant energies from your auric field.
Petalite creates a calming presence to welcome in inspiration, peaceful reflection, and spiritual awareness.
Harmonizers create a pillar of energy and light so when they are held in each hand, light surrounds your entire body. They can be used in meditation or to cleanse your energy.
Candles, Incense, and Smudging Herbs can be used to set the energy in your sacred space by clearing out dense and stagnant energy and allowing for light and uplifting energy to flow.
Creating an Altar can be a meaningful space where you offer blessings or prayers, center and ground, or use as inspiration. You can personalize it with many different items such as crystals, candles, ancestral photographs or tokens of remembrance, statues of deities, nature elements such as flowers, dirt/sand, leaves, rocks, fossils, etc., sacred geometry, light codes, your zodiac sign, the five elements (water, air, fire, ether, earth), incorporating your favorite colors, or carvings of your animal spirit guides.
"I create sacred spaces in my life where clarity, balance, and guidance can flow freely."

This month, we’re celebrating 10 years of Angelic Roots! To mark this milestone, we sat down with our founders, Laurie and Djuro, to reflect on the past decade—how it all began, how it’s grown, and what it’s meant to build something from the heart. What started in their home has evolved into the space it is today, shaped by trust, resilience, and following a path that felt right, even when it wasn’t always easy. Along the way, there have been so many lessons, challenges, unexpected moments, and an overwhelming sense of gratitude woven into every step.
The answer to this question is a little different for each of us—but together, it’s what led us here.
For Laurie, it began during a time of feeling completely overwhelmed. She was working in a demanding leadership role in healthcare while raising two young children, and it felt like life had become unbalanced and exhausting—far from what she had envisioned for herself.
Everything began to shift when a friend invited her to a spiritual gathering. What seemed like a simple invitation became a turning point—an introduction to a world she had never explored before. She started learning about intuition, angels, Reiki, and more, and quickly felt drawn to it all. That curiosity turned into a deep passion, leading her to seek out classes, books, and experiences, eventually beginning her own meditation practice and Reiki training. What she discovered was something she didn’t even realize had been missing.
With time, she began to feel calmer, more confident, and more aligned. It became clear that healthcare was no longer her soul’s calling—but she still needed to support her family. So she transitioned into healthcare IT, knowing it would be a temporary step that allowed her the space to begin building something new. During that time, she continued her training and began exploring crystals, essential oils, and sound healing—slowly laying the foundation for what would become our business.
For Djuro, the journey began by witnessing this transformation. Seeing the profound impact this work had on Laurie made it clear that something meaningful was unfolding. At the same time, we both understood what it felt like to work jobs that provided stability but came at a personal cost. That’s when we started telling ourselves: there has to be a better way. Eventually, we made the decision to step away from the corporate world and take a leap of faith by investing in ourselves. It wasn’t easy, but it felt right.

In November of 2018, Laurie officially left her healthcare career. Shortly after, we had a booth at the Christkindl Market at Fiserv Forum. It was long, cold, and exhausting—but it truly jumpstarted our business and helped lead us to our current location.

What made it all even more meaningful was that we had found something we were both genuinely passionate about—something we could build together, grow together, and share with our community. That leap of faith set us on an entirely new path. Being able to work side by side has been a dream come true—and without a doubt, one of the greatest blessings in our story.
The very first version of our business began in the lower level of our home, where we created a treatment room and a mock classroom space. Laurie started by offering Reiki sessions to friends and family as a way to practice and refine her skills. Over time, those sessions grew into referrals from friends of friends, and word began to spread. Before long, Laurie was seeing clients several days a week while still working her full-time job.

Around that time, sound healing was still relatively uncommon. We attended a Body Mind Spirit Expo, where we discovered a seminar about gongs. We were immediately drawn to it. Inspired, we purchased our first singing bowls and eventually added a gong. Laurie began incorporating sound healing into her Reiki sessions, which added a new depth to the experience.
As interest grew, Laurie and Djuro started offering sound baths in our home. These quickly gained popularity, and we expanded by setting up a small retail space as well. Djuro began creating crystal trees, and Laurie started making crystal bracelets.

Our first vendor event was the Dare to Be Aware Fair at Alverno College. At that event, we brought a few crystal display pieces for our table—but to our surprise, everyone wanted to buy them. That moment sparked a new direction for us, and we soon began offering crystals as part of our business. By 2019, the growth had led us to purchase our large building in the Market Place Shopping Village, marking the next chapter of our story.
Not exactly as it is today, but there was definitely a vision rooted in connection that has remained consistent—connecting with the community and offering a welcoming space for all.
The moment we truly realized, “We’re really doing this,” came when we had the opportunity to purchase the large crystal collection from the family of Chuck Webb.
At the time, we were vending at the Strawberry Festival in Cedarburg when Chuck’s daughter happened to walk by. We struck up a conversation with her and her husband, and during that exchange, they asked if we would be interested in purchasing his collection. Honestly, we had no idea just how extensive it was.

When we went to see the collection in person, we were completely overwhelmed—but in the best way. It was clear to us that this was exactly what we needed to truly launch the retail side of Angelic Roots. That moment felt like a turning point. It gave us both the inventory and the confidence to take the next big step forward. We are incredibly grateful for that connection and feel it was truly a blessing from Chuck.
Our biggest “oh no, what did we just do?” moment was the day we closed on our main brick-and-mortar location. Right after closing, we walked into the building only to find that the previous owners hadn’t fully moved out. At the same time, our moving trucks had arrived, and we suddenly had nowhere to go. We ended up leaving everything in the trucks and staying in a hotel for the first couple of nights. And that was just the start.
Within the first week, we discovered a major water leak in the downstairs ceiling and had to call a plumber. When they came out, they told us the entire building needed all new plumbing—completely unexpected. It was overwhelming, but we knew it was something we had to take on, so we did.

In the middle of our renovation, COVID hit, which made everything even more difficult. Delays piled up, and what we thought would be a manageable timeline ended up taking nearly three times as long. Looking back, it was one of the most stressful times we’ve experienced—but also one of the most rewarding. It pushed us, tested us, and ultimately confirmed just how committed we were to building something meaningful.
What surprised us most about running this business has definitely been the true cost of doing business and the time commitment it requires. From payroll to software, marketing, utilities, insurance, and of course inventory—it all adds up quickly. There are so many moving pieces behind the scenes that people don’t always see. But just as impactful is the amount of time it takes. Building and sustaining a business isn’t just a job—it’s a constant commitment of energy, focus, and heart.

One of our biggest lessons over the past 10 years has been learning to trust ourselves and lead with heart.
For Laurie, it’s been about truly trusting her intuition—believing that when you operate from a place of authenticity and integrity, you are being guided exactly where you’re meant to go.

For Djuro, it’s been about understanding your strengths while continuing to grow from your weaknesses, doing everything from the heart, and remembering that even the smallest act of kindness can leave a lasting impression.
One thing that always reminds us, "we’ve got this," is the incredible community that has grown around our business. This includes not only our clients and customers but the amazing team that we have in our Angelic Roots family.

We truly can’t even put into words how supported we feel in what we do. That connection, that trust, and that shared energy means everything to us—and it’s what keeps us going every single day.

Interestingly, we don’t have an extensive personal crystal collection, but we do still have our very first crystal purchase. It’s a large, beautiful piece of raw rose quartz—and yes, it still has a special place in our living room.
Hands down, it would definitely be Clear Quartz or a variation of it. Clear Quartz is known as the master healer. It amplifies energy, intention, and growth—just like the journey of building a business over the past 10 years. It represents clarity, resilience, and the ability to adapt and evolve through every phase.
One funny and cherished memory from the early days was doing live sales in our building with barely any lighting and no heat. We always laugh thinking back to those "fireside" live sales, where Lauren would be moderating while Djuro and Laurie were in the background doing whatever it took to keep things running.

It wasn’t perfect, but it was real—and those moments still make us smile today.

Our most cherished parenting tip is to allow your children to be fully themselves—to grow, explore, and learn with your support and guidance. We truly believe they are here to teach us just as much, if not more, than we are here to teach them.
Give them a voice. Let them be heard. Support them as they navigate life, even when that means allowing them to make mistakes. And through it all, make sure they always know they are loved unconditionally.

What started as an idea has grown into a community built on trust, intention, and shared experiences. Every class, every session, every conversation, every connection—both in-store and online—and every person who has walked through our doors has helped shape Angelic Roots into what it is today.
To everyone who has supported us and been part of this space—thank you. As we look ahead, we do so with the same intention we started with: to continue creating a space that feels welcoming, meaningful, and rooted in connection for years to come. So much has changed over the past decade, but the heart behind it hasn’t—thank you for being part of it!

The egg shape carries a unique frequency that is nurturing and ignites creativity. It has long been a symbol of fertility, new life, and infinite potential. The rounded base and the narrowing top create a natural flow of energy. The rounded end holds and nurtures energy and the narrow top gently directs and focuses it. This makes egg-shaped crystals powerful for meditation and manifestation.

Egg shaped crystals can be used for new moon and seasonal ceremonies, especially the Spring Equinox. Place them on your altar or use one as the center crystal for a crystal grid. They amplify and cradle the frequency of your intentions.

The egg shape closely resonates with the Sacral Chakra. Use an egg shaped crystal such as Carnelian or Red Jasper for alignment and balancing of this energy center.

Egg shaped crystals can be used for deep dream work. Place one on your nightstand or under your pillow to encourage deep sleep, support subconscious healing, or to foster new insights through dreams.
Egg-shaped crystals can also be used as a gentle bodywork tool to apply pressure to areas of tension in the body. The smooth, rounded shape allows for comfortable use along muscles, helping to release tightness while encouraging the natural flow of energy throughout the body.
They are also a beautiful addition to Reiki and energy healing sessions. The egg shape helps hold and direct energy, making it ideal for placing on or near the body to support balance, restoration, and the gentle movement of energy where it is most needed.

Using egg shaped crystals in your practice encourages creativity, supports manifestation and transformation, and nurtures what is emerging through us. They hold the gentle wisdom and knowledge that personal growth is always unfolding!

As the first sign of the zodiac, Aries carries the energy of new beginnings, forward momentum, and inspired action. It is represented by the ram, a symbol of leadership, determination, and initiation. Aries are ruled by the planet Mars and the element of Fire. People born between March 21 and April 19 are known for their courage, passion, protective loyalty, and ability to inspire others. Aries thrive in careers as motivational speakers, content creators, and fast-paced fields such as ER healthcare workers, first responders, or sales driven careers.
At the heart of an Aries personality is their confidence and self-trust. They trust their instincts and break through obstacles with determination. Because they move quickly and intensely, they can appear to be impatient, reactive, and act before thinking. At their most aligned, they embody responsible leadership and inspire us with their enthusiasm.

Crystals that Aries can work with to balance their fire or encourage their natural abilities are Howlite, Citrine, Carnelian, Garnet, Tiger Iron, and Blue Calcite. Aries can work with the vibration of these crystals to navigate intense emotions and release energy that no longer serves them.
Aries bring the gift of courage, inspiration, and leadership. They teach us to trust our instincts, claim our path, and lead with our heart. As they lead with fearless authenticity, they ignite action and show us infinite possibilities!

The Spring Equinox is the balance between light and dark. It represents harmony, rebirth, and awakening. Often thought of as the time to plant seeds of intention and to take action after long months of introspection, this is also an opportunity for receiving support, abundance, and joy. When using this portal of energy to renew or make intentions consider these questions:
Are you open to welcoming what you've been calling in?
Can you receive with ease and grace instead of forcing, denying, or urgency?
As we welcome in the forward-moving energy of the Fire Horse, we remind ourselves that we don't need to push to move forward. We magnetize through authenticity and aligned presence. This equinox amplifies receiving opportunities that match your truth and allow for rapid growth without self-sabotage. The balance reminds you that expansion requires both movement and openness.
Crystals for Spring Equinox Energy
The following crystals can be used in your practice or in a Spring Equinox crystal grid for receiving and aligned expansion:

Light Infusion Meditation
The Spring Equinox offers a powerful energetic doorway to realign with harmony within yourself. The following meditation invites the returning sunlight to gently fill your body, mind, and spirit with renewed clarity and openness. If you don't have the opportunity to meditate in natural sunlight, light a candle instead.

I welcome the sunlight in my body, mind, and spirit and allow growth to unfold with ease. I am open to receiving what is meant for me.
Spring Equinox 2026 is not asking you to prove yourself. Rather, it is asking you to be open to receiving, trust the process, and allow blessings to unfold in your life with grace and ease. You only need to receive what is ready to bloom through you!

Green is the color of life and the natural world that surrounds us. It resonates with the Heart Chakra, our energetic center of Love, connection, forgiveness, and unity. This is where we learn to give and receive and where true healing begins. It also carries the vibration of growth, forward movement, abundance, and harmony. When our Heart Chakra is balanced, we are able to move through life and relationships with openness, softness, and strength.
Here are our favorite green crystals for heart-centered frequencies and living in harmony.

Malachite is the crystal of transformation. It balances both the Throat and Heart Chakras. It brings emotions to the surface so they can be released. Use this crystal for assistance in breaking old patterns and deep chakra alignment.

Jade carries the frequency of prosperity, abundance, and protection. It allows you to see past your limitations so you can manifest your dreams into reality. Use for heart-centered decision making and attracting abundance.

Prehnite is associated with Archangel Raphael, the "healing" angel, and carries the frequency of the Green Ray of Light. It is the crystal of unconditional love and connects into our Heart Chakra. This crystal is particularly valuable for Reiki practitioners and those who are seeking intuitive heart aligned guidance.

Moss Agate connects us to the heartbeat of Mother Earth allowing for emotional grounding. Use this crystal to connect to seasonal cycles and the nourishing energy of nature.

Kiwi Calcite dissolves stored emotions without overwhelming our body, mind, and spirit. Its soothing, supportive nature provides relief and calms nerves. Use this to create space for joy for anyone who is going through personal loss.

Epidote is the crystal of manifestation. It magnifies what you hold within, making it a powerful crystal for releasing stored emotions in the Heart Chakra. Use this to expand gratitude, encourage emotional breakthroughs, and open your mind to new perspectives.

Prasiolite, or Green Amethyst, radiates an uplifting energy that nurtures and renews the heart. Its frequency supports heart-centered balance, encourages forgiveness, and facilitates gentle strength. Use this crystal for spiritual growth and to encourage self-compassion.
As you work with green crystals, you are reminded that our heart space is meant to expand and guide us back to balance, compassion, and quiet courage. In this frequency, you begin to trust your path, move forward within a space of harmony, and embody your authentic self!

Across the Himalayan regions of Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, and Northern India, Tibetan prayer wheels are considered very sacred. These cylindrical, spinning ritual objects are deeply rooted in Tibetan Buddhist practice and are used as a powerful tool for meditation, compassion, and spirituality. Prayer wheels may appear simple at first, but they represent a profound spiritual philosophy: every rotation sends prayers and blessings into the world.
A Tibetan prayer wheel is a cylindrical device mounted on a spindle that spins freely. Inside the wheel are tightly rolled scrolls printed with the sacred Buddhist mantra:
“Om Mani Padme Hum.”
This mantra is associated with Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, and is considered one of the most sacred and widely used mantras in Tibetan Buddhism. Inside a single wheel, the mantra may be printed thousands, sometimes even millions of times. According to Buddhist tradition, spinning the wheel once is spiritually equivalent to reciting every mantra contained within it. In this way, prayer wheels act as a physical embodiment of prayer and intention.

Clockwise Rotation
Prayer wheels are always spun clockwise, the same direction that Tibetan script is read. Turning the wheel in this direction aligns the motion with the flow of positive energy and the sacred mantra inside. The spinning the wheel releases the blessings and compassionate intentions contained within the mantras. The movement itself becomes a symbolic act of sending positive energy outward into the world.
Reciting the Mantra or Holding Intention
While spinning a prayer wheel, practitioners often repeat the mantra:
Om Mani Padme Hum
This may be spoken aloud, whispered softly, or repeated silently in the mind. Others simply hold a compassionate intention, such as wishing for peace, healing, or relief from suffering for all beings. The wheel becomes a meditation tool, helping to focus the mind and cultivate kindness, clarity, and inner peace.
Walking Meditation (Kora)
At many monasteries and sacred pilgrimage sites, large prayer wheels line temple walls or pathways. Devotees practice a walking meditation known as kora, where they walk clockwise around a sacred building or site while spinning each wheel in sequence. This practice blends movement, mindfulness, prayer, and meditation. Each step and each spin becomes part of a flowing spiritual practice that connects the body, mind, and breath.
Handheld Prayer Wheels
Smaller handheld prayer wheels are commonly used during personal meditation or daily spiritual practice. These wheels usually include a small weighted chain attached to the cylinder. With a gentle flick of the wrist, the weight helps the wheel spin smoothly. The rhythmic spinning motion helps create a calm, meditative focus.
Continuous Prayer Wheels
Some prayer wheels are designed to spin continuously without human touch. These may be powered by wind, flowing water, or heat from candles or lamps. These wheels symbolize unceasing prayer and compassion flowing into the universe. The idea is that blessings and positive intentions are continuously being offered for the benefit of all beings.
If you do not have access to a wind- or water-powered prayer wheel, you can still cultivate the same spirit of continuous prayer in your daily practice. One simple approach is to spin your prayer wheel at the beginning of meditation or prayer with the intention that its blessings continue long after the wheel stops moving. In Tibetan Buddhist philosophy, intention (bodhicitta), the wish for all beings to be free from suffering, is considered just as powerful as the physical action itself. You can also place your prayer wheel near a gentle fan or open window, allowing natural air movement to turn it occasionally, symbolizing prayers carried by the wind.

Using a prayer wheel is not simply a ritual, it is an expression of compassion and interconnectedness. Each rotation represents countless prayers being released into the world. The act becomes a mindful gesture that unites:
Together, these elements form a complete spiritual practice. The prayer wheel also reflects a central teaching in Buddhism: that small, mindful actions performed with compassion can have immeasurable positive impact.
Today, Tibetan prayer wheels are appreciated not only in monasteries but also by people around the world who are drawn to their symbolism of peace, compassion, and mindful intention. Whether used in meditation or displayed as a spiritual object, a prayer wheel serves as a reminder that every small action, every turn of the wheel, can send kindness and healing into the world. In the quiet motion of a spinning wheel, a simple gesture becomes a powerful prayer for the well-being of all beings.

Each number carries its own unique vibration and wisdom. Number 3 is the number of creativity, self-expression, and divine connection. It represents the point where energy moves from idea to form, where intention becomes manifestation. The vibration of 3 is joyful, expressive, and expansive, reminding us to communicate our truth and trust Divine inspiration.

Three is seen as a sacred pattern in life. The power of three can be viewed as:
These patterns remind us that nothing exists in a vacuum. Transformation requires a relationship and the power of three creates movement that carries energy forward with purpose.
How to Work with the Number 3
At its heart, Number 3 carries vibrant, creative energy that feels expressive, expansive, and uplifting. It represents growth, communication, and the power of creation. When you work with this number in intention setting, planning, or by noticing its patterns in your life, it can inspire creativity, confidence, and joyful momentum in your everyday experiences.

The sacred number 3 reminds us that life is meant to be experienced, shared, and celebrated. When you align with its energy, you give yourself permission to create, communicate and co-create with the Divine.

The month of March arrives as a sacred turning point as it ushers in the Spring Equinox, the moment of divine balance. We're now in the Lunar New Year of the Fire Horse, a bold year of forward momentum, passion, and inner freedom. The Fire Horse carries you forward when you are rooted in Divine trust rather than fear. We pulled a card from Gabrielle Bernstein's The Universe Has Your Back oracle card deck for inspiration and clarification on what lies ahead in this month.

Instead of praying for an outcome, I pray for the highest good for all.
When we set intentions for the highest good, we step out of our ego and into Divine strength. This allows space for outcomes greater than what we could have planned. Even subtle shifts in the "ask" can change everything. For instance, instead of asking, "I want....", try "May the opportunity that is most aligned with my purpose unfold with ease and grace." When we surrender the outcome, we open space for solutions, opportunities, and growth. In that release, our intentions becomes prayers of trust.

As you ponder this card, reflect on the following questions.
"Where in my life am I attached to a specific outcome?"
"What would it feel like to trust that something greater is unfolding?"
"How can I balance action with spiritual surrender?"
"What intention can I set that supports not only me, but the collective good?"
Notice which questions linger. Return to it throughout the month as a way of consciously working with March's activating energy.
Working with energetically aligned crystals can be a source of support as you navigate throughout the month. Whether carried, used in meditation, or placed in your sacred space, they help to amplify your intentions.

"I act with courage, trust divine timing, and allow what is meant for the highest good to unfold through me."

Angelite's soft blue hue and energy is known for its calming presence and its powerful connection to the angelic and higher spiritual realms. It supports spiritual attunement, objective communication, and a deep sense of divine guidance.

Angelite strengthens our communication with the angelic realm. Its gentle vibration quiets the mind, allowing subtle guidance, signs, and intuitive messages to be more easily received. Many people work with Angelite when calling in their guardian angels or to seek reassurance and divine support. Placing Angelite under your pillow or mattress can support restful sleep and enhance meaningful dreams. It can help deliver guidance that may otherwise be overlooked during a busy day, allowing insight to come through more clearly in dreams. Before sleep, set your intention to connect with your angelic team.

Closely aligned with the Throat and Crown Chakra, Angelite supports clear, compassionate communication. It's ideal for those who channel, practice automatic writing, or anyone who wants to speak from a place of divine guidance. The Crown Chakra is activated, bringing in higher spiritual insight. As this energy moves through the Throat Chakra, Angelite helps translate those insights into words, encouraging gentle and heart-centered communication. This alignment allows spiritual guidance to not only be received, but clearly expressed and shared with ease.
When we work with Angelite, we open a sacred space for clear communication with our own intuition and the angelic realm. Angelite serves as a quiet reminder that divine guidance is always available and we are supported every step of our soul's journey.
