The Autumn Equinox invites us to pause between what has been and what is becoming. This threshold is the moment of standing between two spaces: leaving something behind and stepping into something new. There is quiet wisdom in this transition. It is a time to release, trusting that what is to come will carry us through the season ahead.
This is an opportunity to consider what we are ready to release. Letting go does not mean walking away from something or someone completely. Sometimes it means releasing an expectation, an old version of ourselves, a habit, fear, a story we have carried, or the need to control how something unfolds. It can be as simple as acknowledging that something has served its purpose and giving ourselves permission to move forward.

This season naturally encourages reflection, an invitation to turn our attention inward and take inventory of the experiences, lessons, relationships, choices, and intentions that have shaped our year so far. Before we can consciously let go or release, we have to become aware of what we are carrying. Instead of judging what has or has not happened, approach this reflection with curiosity.

Once something is released, there is space to consider what you want to invite in. Rather than creating a long "to do" list of things you need to accomplish, consider choosing one or two qualities you want to embody during the season ahead. Let them become guiding intentions rather than goals. Creating a simple ritual this season can help you reflect on where you have been, honor what you have learned, and intentionally release what you no longer wish to carry forward. Give yourself permission to slow down, become present, and listen to what is asking to be acknowledged within you.
Letting go is an act of trust. When we release, we make room for what is meaningful and enter into the next season with great awareness!
