Bergamot (Citrus bergamia) is one of our favorite oils for blending or using on its own. It blends beautifully with almost every oil but especially with other citrus oils, floral oils, and warm, woodsy scents. It's usually cold-pressed from the rind of the fruit that grows on bergamot orange trees. Most Bergamot oil is produced and grown in Italy, but can be found in warmer climates around the world.
Therapeutic and Energetic Properties
Bergamot is a natural analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial. It can be incorporated in a massage blend to relieve soreness and soothe the nervous system. Combine it with oils such as Eucalyptus, Frankincense, or Grapefruit when recovering from an illness or in need of a fresh start. Its gentle ability to be calm, restorative, and balancing can help lessen times of worry. The Sacral Chakra can be balanced and aligned with the bright scent of Bergamot. It instills feelings of positivity and helps to release repressed emotions that may be contributing to feelings of sadness or lack of motivation.
Bergamot is phototoxic (heightens your skin sensitivity in the sun) and direct sunlight should be avoided for up to 12 hours after application.
How to Incorporate Bergamot into Your Daily Routine
Bergamot essential oil is a must have in our our aromatherapy toolkit! It can be used to calm and relax nervous feelings, support the immune system, and relieve sore muscles, or used alone for its refreshing and uplifting scent. We love the notes it adds to our Eclipse Manifestation Mist Spray, Lemurian Light Oil Blend, Lemurian Light Spray, and Synergy Oil Blend.

Meditation is an important part of our daily practice that involves focusing our minds and redirecting our thoughts. The goal of meditation is to cultivate awareness, inner peace, and a sense of presence in the present moment. Regular meditation practice has been shown to reduce stress, calm the mind, improve sleep and concentration, promote emotional well-being, and enhance overall mental and physical health.
We often hear, "I can't meditate, my brain has too many thoughts!" Thoughts are normal and the more you try to push them away, the stronger they seem to become. Try this instead! Get in a comfortable position, close your eyes, and imagine you're sitting near a stream in the forest. As a thought comes in, place it on a leaf that is floating down the stream, and watch it drift away. Accept the thought, place it on the leaf, and continue this exercise until you feel more present and in the moment.
Our Favorite Tools and Tips
Meditation is accessible to everyone. All you need is a few minutes a day and your life will forever be changed! By starting with simple practices and gradually building a routine, you can reduce stress, improve focus, and cultivate a greater sense of peace and happiness. Find what resonates with you and enjoy the journey. How are you raising your vibration today?

The Solar Plexus Chakra is one of your energy centers located above the navel, near the diaphragm. It governs your self-esteem, personal power, and your sense of purpose. Experiencing feelings of insecurity, indecisiveness, lack of motivation, and confidence can be an indication that this center is out of balance. When it is open and balanced, you'll feel confident, motivated, and in control of your life.
What is the Solar Plexus Chakra?
The Solar Plexus Chakra, also known as Manipura in Sanskrit (or the "city of jewels"), is the third chakra in the body's energy system located above the navel, in the upper abdomen. It resonates with the color yellow, the fire element, the E note, and the frequency of 528 Hz. Its symbol is a yellow ten petaled lotus flower with a downward-pointing triangle. The triangle represents the fire element and the transmission of receiving cosmic energy and sending it out into the world. The petals symbolize the unfolding of the Divine within you.
How to Balance Your Solar Plexus Chakra
If you find yourself in repetitive patterns of self-defeating thoughts, low motivation, difficulty with self-control, and in a loop of victim mentality, you may be experiencing an imbalance of your Solar Plexus Chakra. Sometimes past abuse and trauma, even ancestral or past life, can contribute to blockages. There are several ways to balance your Solar Plexus Chakra and unlock its full potential. Practicing yoga poses, such as Boat Pose and Warrior III, can help stimulate your core. Meditating or carrying/wearing crystals that vibrate with the frequency of this chakra can gently cleanse this energy center. Crystals we suggest are Citrine, Brucite, Tiger Eye, and Amber.
Using aromatherapy such as essential oils either by diffusing in your space or wearing on your pulse points can open up and create flow in your Solar Plexus Chakra. Bergamot, Cedarwood, Black Pepper, or Geranium essential oils are all great choices for working with imbalance.
Archangel Uriel is strongly aligned with this chakra and calling upon him during meditation can help you release from old patterns and fear. He brings messages of courage, peace, reminds you of your Divine connectedness, and the wisdom to realize your full potential.
A Reiki session is another great way to bring your Solar Plexus Chakra into balance. Reiki practitioners are able to assess the Solar Plexus Chakra for imbalances and make recommendations to maintain its integrity.
Step into Your Power
By taking the time to balance your Solar Plexus Chakra, you can tap into your personal power and nurture your self-confidence. Maintain a healthy flow of energy in your Solar Plexus Chakra with regular self-care, positive affirmations, and devotion to the alignment of your body, mind, and spirit. Embrace the energy and watch as your life transforms before your eyes!

Our home is our sacred space where we commune with friends and family and practice self-care. It's crucial to our health and interpersonal relationships to maintain a high vibration in our living spaces. Spring is an optimal time for a deep clean and a reset of energy in your home.
Start by decluttering or rearranging furniture to break up any stagnant energy. Cleanse with herb bundles or wood such as Sage or Palo Santo to clear out any heavy, dense energy. Set a simple intention, walk around the house moving the smoke into corners, along the walls, and closets. Playing sound vibrational instruments such as drums, singing bowls, and chimes after a smoke cleansing can quickly raise the vibration in your body as well as your space.
Keep the energy fresh and positive by placing cleansing Selenite above door jams and in rooms where you spend time watching programs, playing video games, and browsing social media. Incorporating Selenite lamps in your space is another way to promote serenity and anchor in an energetic shield. Other crystals to incorporate for a continuous flow of positive energy are Tourmaline, Black Kyanite, Golden Healer, Mica, Celestite, and any high vibrational Quartz.
Aromatherapy and the energetics of certain flowers, herbs, and plants can be utilized to balance and bring harmony into your space. We like to use Eucalyptus essential oil for its natural antimicrobial and antibacterial properties, and for its ability to break up stagnancy in the Solar Plexus Chakra. It dispels negative feelings and self-destructive thoughts so you can move into a space of emotional growth. Sweet Orange essential oil's bright aroma is emotionally uplifting, encourages optimism, and calms any tension in the home.
Our new Spring essential oil blend (Bergamot, Pink Grapefruit, and Ylang Ylang) is paired with the warming, earthy energy of Unakite to soften and freshen your space.
Our Favorite Way to Cleanse our Space
It's suggested that before cleansing a room you cleanse yourself first to clear your body, mind, and spirit of any negativity, stagnation, or energetic disturbances within or surrounding you. You can use Selenite to cleanse yourself by holding it in one hand at the top of your head and combing the crystal all the way down your body. Repeat this around your entire body until you feel the energy clear.
Clear your space of any clutter, open up windows, and curtains in each room to allow for clean air to enter. Take some deep breaths and start to form positive thoughts, prayers, or intentions that you will say while cleansing the room. These can be said out loud or silently. For example: "I cleanse this room and release any negative or stagnant energy that is no longer serving myself or my family. I ask that it be replaced with light and love.”
Light the tip of your sage torch or other smoke cleansing material. Once it’s lit, blow out the flame after a few seconds and allow it to smolder. (You do not want flame, just a light smoke coming from it.) Start in the lower level if you are in a home with multiple levels. Using the feather and smoke cleansing material move clockwise around the edge of each room waving the feather up and down the walls directing the smoke up into the corners of the room thinking or saying your positive thoughts and intentions. Ensure that the smoke gets into every corner and closet of each room.
Once your smoke cleansing is completed extinguish the sage by rubbing it in the abalone shell, container, earth, or placing the tip of it in some sand. The same stick can be used over and over until it burns down. Check out our Three Feathers Apothecary line and our selection of cleansing tools on our website!

One of our favorite essential oils to use in our Three Feathers Apothecary products is Frankincense. Its warm, woodsy aroma blends beautifully with a number of other oils and is complex enough to stand on its own. Frankincense is steam distilled from the resin of the Boswellia carterri trees found in Africa, India and the Middle East. Often referred to as "The King of Oils" for its historical use in sacred ceremonies, rituals and in holy temples, it helps create an atmosphere of reverence and peace. Its energetic and chemical components are invaluable for healing and supporting the body, mind and spirit.
Therapeutic and Energetic Properties
Frankincense is a natural analgesic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, skin regenerative and antispasmodic. It can be used to support your respiratory system, daily skin care routine, to improve sleep and for a boost to your immune system.
The nuances of its balsamic and slightly piney scent are deeply grounding and help to balance and connect you to your root chakra. As a tonic it helps to uplift, strengthen and restore vitality. It's a healer of emotional wounds and trauma and can support you through times of fear and instability. As a natural analgesic, it can be quite calming yet deeply clarifying. Using Frankincense in a regular meditation practice can connect you with higher realms such as the angelic realm and quantum consciousness.

The Heart Chakra is a sacred energy center and the gateway to bringing in and holding love and compassion. It is key to unlocking the true essence of our being by blending the energies of the lower and upper chakras and creating a harmonious flow of empathy and connection with all living beings.
What is the Heart Chakra?
The Heart Chakra, known as Anahata (meaning "unhurt") in Sanskrit, is the fourth chakra of the seven main energy points in your body. Located at the center of the chest, it radiates a vibrate green color, symbolizes compassion, emotional and spiritual balance, and to be free of judgement. It is associated with the air element, and is represented by a green lotus flower with 12 petals. The heart chakra resonates with the F note and 639 Hz solfeggio frequency. The best crystals to work with the Heart Chakra are Rose Quartz, Kunzite, Malachite, Rhodonite, Ocean Jasper, Eudialyte, and Pink Opal.
How Does the Heart Chakra Work?
The Heart Chakra opens and expands when we embrace love, compassion, and forgiveness. It allows love to permeate every aspect of our lives. When the Heart Chakra is in balance, we experience joy, inner peace, and a deep sense of interconnectedness with all living beings. We are also kind, gentle, and loving with ourselves.
The higher Heart Chakra or ascended Heart Chakra is located at the thymus gland. This represents unconditional Divine Love and working with both chakras in tandem can help nourish this energy center.
What Happens When the Heart Chakra is Blocked?
When the Heart Chakra is blocked, it can lead to emotional distress, and a sense of disconnection. This can manifest as feelings of loneliness, bitterness, and an inability to form meaningful relationships. Past trauma, in this lifetime or ancestral, can also block the Heart Chakra leading to distrust, inadequate coping skills, and repetitive poor relationships. We can become resentful and unable to give or receive love. The Heart Chakra can also become overactive and result in poor emotional boundaries, overcommitting, martyrdom, and difficulty controlling emotions.
How to Balance the Heart Chakra?
Fortunately, there are practices that allow love to flow freely once again. Engaging in heart-opening activities such as yoga, meditation, and breathwork can help release energetic blockages and promote a sense of harmony within. Surrounding yourself in the solitude of nature, listening to high vibrational music, and practicing acts of kindness also nourish the Heart Chakra.
Additionally, incorporating crystals that resonate with the Heart Chakra into your daily life can amplify the healing energy of the Heart Chakra. Essential oils such as Rose, Bergamot, Ylang Ylang, Frankincense, and Neroli can be used to assist in unblocking the Heart Chakra and bring in love and peace. They can be diffused in your personal space or applied directly with a carrier oil on the chest/heart space. These crystals and essential oils resonate with the frequency of love, assisting in the restoration of balance and emotional well-being.
A Reiki session is another great way to bring your Heart Chakra into balance. Reiki practitioners are able to assess the Heart Chakra for imbalances and make recommendations to maintain its integrity.
Embrace the Power of the Heart Chakra
Letting love in is dependent on you! Make sure to follow your intuition for need for self care, set healthy boundaries and work on ways to maintain a flow of love in everything you do!
