The total investment for this experience is $277, and the $177 deposit reserves your space. Please bring the remaining $100 balance in cash at the time of the event and pay it directly to Mr. Charging Crow.

Join us for a sacred, hands-on Drum Making Workshop with our dear friend and special guest, Oglala Lakota elder Mr. Delbert Charging Crow. During this immersive experience, you will be guided through creating your own 15” traditional hand drum, honoring the drum as the heartbeat of Mother Earth and a powerful spiritual companion. This is a truly one-of-a-kind experience and an opportunity to learn directly from a traditional elder!

In Native American tradition, the drum is considered a living, sacred being - its rhythm mirroring the heartbeat of Mother Earth and serving as a bridge between the Earth, our ancestors, and the spirit world. During this workshop, you will handcraft your drum using animal hide stretched over a wooden frame and learn the spiritual significance of attaching a medicine bundle, which is traditionally used to carry, protect, and amplify the drum’s intention and purpose.

Mr. Charging Crow will gently guide you through the process with wisdom, storytelling, and teachings rooted in Lakota tradition, sharing insight into the meaning and sacred role of the drum. This experience is both grounding and transformative - an invitation to create with intention and tune into your own rhythm through this beautiful ancestral practice. Class is limited to 20 participants.

No prior experience is necessary. Come with an open heart and leave with a sacred instrument you’ve created by hand - one that carries your intention, spirit, and connection to the Earth.

For those who are unable to attend in person, we are also offering a Virtual Distant Personalized Drum. Each drum will be handcrafted with your intention in mind by Mr. Charging Crow. Please leave your intentions in a note at checkout so they can be thoughtfully incorporated into the creation of your drum. Note, shipping is not included and will be calculated based on the weight and destination of the package which will be invoiced separately.

In the event there is inclement weather, the event will be canceled and a credit will be issued.)

Please sign our Consent & Liability Waiver prior to arrival. Note, we use essential oils and burn sage, palo santo and/or incense—please let us know of any sensitivities. Refrain from using any drugs or alcohol prior to the event. Video and photography during the event is not permitted without prior approval.

Appointment Cancellation Policy: For cancellations, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged or losing your deposit. An electronic credit will be issued in the form of store credit. If there is an extenuating circumstance, please let us know.
