Join us for a sacred and enriching experience as we welcome back Lakota Elder Mr. Charging Crow from his summer trip to the Pine Ridge Reservation for a special Sweet Grass Braiding Workshop.

You’ll learn about the spiritual significance of sweet grass and its powerful role in purification, prayer, and calling in good energy. Under the guidance and teachings of Mr. Charging Crow, you'll gain a deeper understanding of Lakota culture, traditions, and the respectful use of sacred plant medicine.

Learn the respectful braiding of Grandmother Earth's hair, braid your own large bundle of sweet grass sourced from our own local garden, and infuse it with your intention and prayers as part of the ceremony. This is a hands-on, heart-opening experience rooted in connection, gratitude, and honoring Indigenous culture.

Whether you are new to Indigenous teachings or wish to deepen your relationship with them, this workshop offers a meaningful way to honor the wisdom of the land and the traditions that carry it forward.

All supplies included and gathering is limited to 22 participants.

Location: Angelic Roots, 8612 S Market Pl, Oak Creek, WI 53154 (We have 2 locations in the Oak Creek Market Place Village, this is at the North End location.)

Please sign our Consent & Liability Waiver prior to arrival. Note, we use essential oils and burn sage, palo santo and/or incense—please let us know of any sensitivities. Refrain from using any drugs or alcohol prior to the event. Video and photography during the event is not permitted without prior approval.

Appointment Cancellation Policy: For cancellations, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged or losing your deposit. If there is an extenuating circumstance please let us know.

We reserve the right to cancel classes and events due to low attendance. An electronic credit will be sent via email, or a refund will be issued as requested.
