These beautiful Petoskey stones are fossilized coral from Michigan and are part of our vintage collection! A couple of them even feature Charlevoix stones and pipe coral. Petoskey comes from the Native American name, Pet-O-Sega, which translates to "Sunbeams of Promise." Pet-O-Sega was an Ottawa Chief, and according to legend, as he was born sun rays fell on his face, signifying the rays of promise that he would build his life upon.
