Pendulums are used to explore intuition, connect with your higher self, and seek spiritual guidance through simple questions. Before beginning, spend some time getting familiar with your pendulum and establishing movements for "yes," "no," and "maybe." Hold the chain comfortably between your thumb and index finger, allowing the pendulum to hang freely while you relax your hand and clear your mind. You can assign different movements, such as side-to-side, front-to-back, or circular swings, to each response. Practice with questions you already know the answers to to become more comfortable recognizing its movements. These movements can be influenced by subtle, unconscious muscle activity, making pendulum work a meaningful practice for self-reflection and exploring your inner awareness.
When you're ready to work with your pendulum, take a few calming breaths, focus on your intention, and ask a clear question that can be answered with a simple response. Observe its movement without trying to guide it, allowing the experience to encourage mindfulness and a deeper connection with your intuition. Between questions, gently steady the pendulum in your opposite palm to reset its movement. When not in use, keep your pendulum in a safe place to protect its finish and pointed tip.
