The Journey (What to Expect)
A brief conversation with Ruth about your desires and intentions for the sound journey begin the session. You'll then lay comfortably and fully clothed on a treatment bed in a relaxed setting where you will experience the gentle sounds and vibrations of beautiful instruments including tingshas, tuning-forks, steel-tongue drum, ocean drum, and harp. These are sounded in intentional, intuitive, and prescriptive ways in alignment with your intentions for the session and to create a deepened state of relaxation, supporting natural innate healing and growth processes. The session concludes with an opportunity to talk about and debrief your experience with Ruth.
About Your Practitioner
With the desire to support people in any stage of life with the transformative power of presence and sound, Ruth McEwen, MSW, Music-Thanatologist developed Rx Sound Journeys. Ruth brings her love for life and people and her professional and personal experiences with prescriptive music to this healing and wellness work.

Location
The session is at our Wellness Center: 8612 S Market Place, Oak Creek, WI 53154 (We have 2 locations in the Oak Creek Market Place Village, this is at the North End location) and session times are in Central Standard Time (CST).
Please note, our treatment rooms are located within our crystal shop, and while we strive to maintain a serene environment, there may be some ambient noise, particularly during evenings and weekends.
Consent
When scheduling your session, you consent to the following. I understand that Ruth McEwen, as a sound and energy practitioner, does not diagnose conditions or interfere with care of licensed medical professionals. Rx Sound Journey sessions may complement and aid healing processes and positively influence overall wellness and well-being but are not intended to substitue for for the advice and/or services of any licensed medical professional including but not limited to physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, psychotherapist.
Please sign our Consent & Liability Waiver prior to arrival. Note, we use essential oils and burn sage, palo santo and/or incense—please let us know of any sensitivities.
Refrain from using any drugs or alcohol prior to the event. Video and photography during the event is not permitted without prior approval.
Appointment Cancellation Policy: For cancellations, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged or losing your deposit. An electronic credit will be issued in the form of store credit. If there is an extenuating circumstance, please let us know.
