Lakota Stone Animal Carving Fetish Workshop [Deposit] - Sunday, May 17 11am-5pm

The total investment for this experience is $195, and the $95 deposit reserves your space. Please bring the remaining $100 balance in cash at the time of the event and pay it directly to Mr. Charging Crow.

Join Djuro and special guest Lakota elder Mr. Charging Crow for a full day workshop to create your own fetish carving. Mr. Charging Crow is a traditional Lakota carver, and you will learn the meaning of the fetish to the Sioux Nation and how to tap into the energy of the stone to determine which animal to carve. The workshop will begin with ceremony to connect you with your spirit guides. As you begin carving, the first layer of the stone's surface is removed and the animal Spirit’s natural form is revealed. You'll be guided through his traditional practices to complete your own fetish carving and learn the meaning of the different sacred embellishments. All tools, supplies, and materials provided. No experience necessary. Class is limited to 16 participants.

Included:

• Tools provided - files, saws, rasps, sandpaper
• Supplies - gloves, mask, eye protection
• Materials - White Blackhills Alabaster Stone, beads, stones, leather medicine bag, pheasant feathers
• Light snacks will be provided. Please bring a bag lunch.

In the event there is inclement weather, the event will be canceled and a credit will be issued.)

Note, we use essential oils and burn sage, palo santo and/or incense—please let us know of any sensitivities. Refrain from using any drugs or alcohol prior to the event. Video and photography during the event is not permitted without prior approval.

Appointment Cancellation Policy: For cancellations, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged or losing your deposit. An electronic credit will be issued in the form of a gift card. If there is an extenuating circumstance, please let us know.
