These Clay Ocarina Whistles are so fun to play and can be carried with you on the go! Ocarinas, or "little goose" in Italian, is an egg shaped vessel that is played as a flute. While these are made of clay, many are also made of metal or plastic. Ocarinas were used in ancient times to please the Gods, charm the birds, and lift people into a higher state of consciousness.
In 1853, Italian teenager Guiseppe Donati invented the clay flute, and named it "little goose" because of its resemblance to the animal. Donati introduced the Ocarina to his friends and they practiced and performed together!
