This sweet grass, also known as Hierochloe Odorata or holy grass, grows from June to August and and has a sweet, vanilla, and cinnamon scent. This particular Wisconsin sweet grass grows right here in our little village in Oak Creek! It grows 10 - 24 inches in height and can be harvested twice a year. To burn sweet grass, light the end of the braid and carefully wave it to release smoke into the air.
