There are many ways to bring singing bowls into your daily practice. You don't need to be a sound or energy healer to reap their benefits - you only need presence and intention.
Working with Your Singing Bowl
When choosing a bowl, trust both your intuition and your ear. Holding the bowl flat in your hand or on a cushion pillow, gently strike the rim with a mallet appropriate for the bowl, to awaken its tone. Slowly guide the mallet around the outer edge with steady, even pressure. As the vibration builds, the sound will expand into a sustained hum. Quiet your mind and feel the vibration in your physical body. Consider how the bowl makes you feel. Do you feel calm, grounded, and uplifted? Can you feel a connection within your body? Allow the bowl to choose you as much as you choose it.
