Moqui Balls: Balance & Ground

Moqui Balls, also known as Shaman Stones or Moqui Marbles, are formed from sandstone and iron oxide and found primarily in the deserts of the American Southwest.  Their name reflects the heritage of Hopi Native American tribe and the word means "departed ones" in their language. According to legend, the ancestors would play with these stones in the spirit world at night and leave them behind as a sign of their presence to their loved ones. 

Moqui Balls typically come in pairs: 

• Male stone: the larger of the two, yang energy, associated with strength, grounding, and expansive
• Female stone: the smaller of the two, ying energy, associated with intuition, nurturing, and contractive

Together, they represent the divine balance of masculine and feminine energies, making them perfect tools for bringing in balance and harmony. 

How to Work with Moqui Balls

Moqui Balls are known for their strong grounding and balancing energy. They carry the essence of Mother Earth and connect us to the rhythms of nature and our ancestors. Here are our favorite ways to work with Moqui Balls.

• Grounding - hold the stones and feel the magnetic pull towards Mother Earth
• Protection - rub or tap together to clear a space of negative energy, keep them in sacred spaces for protection 
• Massage - rub on muscles and joints for relief
• Stress Relief - rub the stones to feel the texture and allow the energy to flow through you, place them near your bed for restful sleep
• Chakras - known to stimulate energy flow, use these on chakras to clear blockages
• Meditation - hold the female ball in the left hand and the male ball in the right hand to balance the divine feminine and masculine energies or connect to your ancestors
